Building your dream wardrobe takes time, especially when it comes to event dressing. Investing in fewer, timeless, high-quality pieces will go a long way. Jewelry plays an essential role in elevating an outfit, especially for special occasions. Watches (and evening bags) are my personal favorite accessories, and they’re a key part of styling an evening look. Yes, my husband’s influence is clear here! Lately, I’ve been loving my Serpenti watch over long-sleeved blouses—it truly completes the outfit and makes an even bigger statement than a cuff.
Instead of trying to wear something new to every event, embrace the beauty of re-wearing your clothes and accessories, letting them become part of your personal style. Rotating through your favorite pieces adds so much authenticity to your look. The most stylish people are those who truly wear their clothes, not those constantly chasing something new. I’ve fully embraced this mentality, and it’s helped me declutter both my home and my life. There’s something undeniably chic about turning certain items into your signature and watching them evolve with you!
Your new workhorse dresses… dress up for a wedding or down for a cocktail party / special dinner.
A really great black blouse and pair of pants—yet another great find from Toteme. I purchased this satin top in August when I was in London and I have been wearing it often with denim. I plan to complete the set for my next cocktail event. Pants will be beautiful with sweaters, button downs and beautiful coats this fall and winter.
The perfect black mini with endless styling possibilities. Vintage evening bags are something really special and fun to hunt down. They aren’t but feel like one of a kind pieces… my mom has a bunch of my grammy’s and I am always rotating through. They are so special and will continue to be passed down.

I adored every piece here! I used to be one of those girls who bought a new "statement" dress to match the theme of every event / gala. Now I'm lazy (or wiser) and have built a decent collection of more "neutral" occasionwear that can cover most themes (make sure to have something sparkly!) and I change the vibe via accessories. So much better!
