Hi from the sky! I am on my way back home after an incredible trip with one of my best friends. Croissants and cappuccinos every morning, escargot, beef tartare and Bordeaux in the evening… shopping, walking and bakeries in between. Usually, I would be hungover, tired and full of stomach issues but ah the beauty of Europe and no preservatives. Beautiful for our health, or so I’d like to believe, though probably not so much for the cholesterol, and definitely not for the bank account.
This is part 1 of 2 for my trip to Paris… expect another letter soon with all of the details and notes.
Levis 501s (I wore these on the plane… my most comfortable denim) / an older Nili Lotan striped button down (similar option here) / butter soft ballet flats that I walked 30k steps in / belt / trench coat / bag / phone case & wristlet
brown skirt & top (great together or as separates… wearing again this weekend to a bridal shower) / boots (I am excited to swap for these in a few weeks) / satin trench coat / similar clutch here and here
Levi’s 501 / jacket set (a newly gifted piece from the sister brand to Yeon - a vest with a bolero that is removable… pretty incredible) / ballet flats / Hermes scarf (my new obsession… have to dig into my mom’s collection) / sunglasses / phone wristlet / bag
A small outfit change because a trip to Le Bon Marche resulted in these jeans and a small Andiamo (my white jeans were also covered with blue dye… rookie mistake with new denim). The size and multi-functionality of the small Andiamo sold me, and of course the beautiful burgundy.
& then I slipped and fell and these vintage Prada heels landed on my feet
1998 Tom Ford x Gucci runway suit / Prada slingbacks (I walked 30 minutes in these… one of my many so long Bergdorf’s purchases from a couple years ago that have done me really well) / small Andiamo (see? a great day to night!)
Liberowe jeans / white tee / 2013 Gucci jacket / boots / small Andiamo / sunglasses
Khaite blazer (this jacket is incredible and very similar… many of you have already purchased) / denim / slingbacks / vintage Chanel
Levi’s 501 / denim button down (RACHELC15) / Hermes scarf / trench coat / loafers / vintage Chanel / phone case & wristlet
These happened
Quick turnaround for dinner so I changed shoes and threw on my satin trench
Needless to say my shopping has come to a close for quite some time, but always better spent in Paris (for the memories and the tax). I am absolutely thrilled about the newness and am excited to incorporate it all back into what I wear everyday. Feeling extra inspired and grateful. & can I just say, there is no better feeling than buying your first Chanel bag (she’s a 90s baby, like me)!!! I wrote a note at the hotel and stuck it in one of the pockets… hoping it lives there forever.
A few other things to leave you with…
Be sure to check out the Nili Loan Archive Sale! It ends on the 30th. Do not sleep on mens outerwear… this leather jacket is identical to the one I picked up in the fall without the shearling collar attachment (photo reference here). I have a Large. This suede jacket is also an incredible steal.
Eterne is on Shopbop. These are my favorite sweatpants that Bruce ripped through a couple months ago. Worth the price IMO. Updated hearts here.
Saks’s Friends & Family Sale has begun. A handful of Spinelli Kilcollin pieces are included as are Ginori Oriente tea cups in Cipria
I just got these and am so excited to bring them into the sandal rotation in a few weeks (TTS)
Ari has been wearing a number of new pieces from Mark the Tailor, specifically this sweater. Definitely a brand to keep on your radar! I can't wait for the spring collection to drop. On the topic of menswear, I just picked up a few fresh basics for Ari this week… these in pumice, these in navy and this white tee. He has also been wearing this in grey and this in black on repeat.
Hi, I’m sorry if I missed it. What about your necklaces? I love the layering!! Thank you!!
Hi Rachel - question is the Andiamo you bought burgundy or the brown? You mentioned burgundy but the link is to a brown color. Thanks!
