Welcome To My Kitchen
A little break from fashion... welcome to my kitchen! My three most frequent dinner recipes and two others that are very near and dear to my heart.
A break from fashion... let's talk cooking. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, as you can probably tell from the many photos of my snacks, lunch, and dinner. I eat very healthy and feel my best when I am cooking a lot. More than that, I really love to cook! The verdict is to increase the food content, so this is the beginning of a wonderful journey. I plan to share a few of my favorite recipes each month. When I am not cooking my own recipes, I am purchasing prepped meal kit boxes from The Daily Grocer (I am obsessed). If I am ordering in, it is usually from 12 Chairs, Bubby's, or Sushi from Seki, 295 Mercer or Sushi 35 West.
I keep flash frozen wild caught ahi tuna and salmon from Thrive Market. Ari is a tuna fanatic so I make a tuna dish once a week. The quality is incredible and we are blown away each time we have it.
Ari's parents are from Ukraine, so the caviar is always plentiful in their house (and apparently many of you are from Ukraine as well). In addition to cookies and brownies, caviar is frequently hand-delivered to us from his mom.

Another staple in our house is Caprese Chicken. Simple, easy and always incredible. Depending on the mood I serve over pasta or zucchini (plain or pesto) on toasted bread for a sandwich or with roasted veggies on the side. The sauce looks a bit different as you can see in the images below- play with the cook time of the balsamic vinegar and see how you like it best. Same goes with the cherry tomatoes- I love them so I add more than a pint (and more balsamic vinegar).

Last but not least, Chicken Piccata. A less buttery version of one of my favorite dishes to order out. I love this dish over pasta with a ton of parmesan cheese or with a side of grilled asparagus or sautéed spinach with garlic, or a combination if I am very hungry. *Pound chicken thin!

The following two are very special (and incredible) recipes from my Grammy. I promise you both are worth trying. I go crazy over them and know you will do the same! First up is my family’s challah recipe. Every oven is different so bake accordingly. I usually cook mine for give or take 17-22 minutes. Note that the recipe below makes two normal challahs! A few weeks ago, my sister and I made an underbaked mini chocolate chip challah and infused it with chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles… everyone went crazy for it.

Last but not least, but maybe the best, are Grammy’s chocolate chip cookies. She made them small and crunchy. I make them bigger and softer. Both are great- depends what mood you are in. Thank me later!

Let me know if you try any of these. I hope you enjoy this new monthly newsletter. Thank you for being here.
Lots of love and cookies!
Obsessed with everything you write and share.
Everything looks incredible, even though I'm vegetarian! I'll try the cookies and perhaps the challah?
